Get free NHS scabies treatment at Knights Pharmacy in Wales — no GP appointment needed.

Scabies is not a reflection of poor hygiene — it spreads through skin-to-skin contact and can affect anyone. Through the Wales Common Ailments Service, we provide prescription-strength treatment free of charge.

Symptoms:

Intense itching, much worse at night
A rash of tiny spots or blisters between the fingers, on the wrists, around the waist or on the genitals
Thin, irregular grey or silver burrow lines in the skin

Treatment at Knights Pharmacy:

We supply permethrin 5% cream (applied head to toe, left 8–12 hours, repeated after 7 days) or malathion 0.5% liquid where needed. All household contacts must be treated on the same day. Itching may persist for up to 4 weeks after successful treatment — this is normal.
